I didn’t start by writing software—I started on the studio floor.
As a studio owner and instructor, my daily life revolved around choreography, student progress, class energy, and building a community. But behind the scenes, running the business was another story entirely.
Every week, hours were lost to administrative overhead:
- Tracking drop-ins, class passes, and recurring memberships on fragmented tools.
- Wrangling schedule changes, room capacities, and multi-discipline timetables across different spaces.
- Dealing with clunky, overpriced software that felt like it was built in 2005.
Why was studio software so unnecessarily complex?
When searching for software to streamline operations, I found two frustrating extremes:
